Jessie's Recipe of the Week: Plant-based Bread Loaf
Introducing our first blog post of this series! This week, Jessie is excited to be bringing to you a delicious plant-based bread recipe made with our instant oatmilk. It makes fluffy bread that's bound to be a family favorite - thanks to the creamy oatmilk! It's super easy to make and the perfect weekend afternoon activity with kids!
Serving Size:
One loaf
What you'll need:
- 1 sachet of original Upright instant oatmilk
- 1 cup of warm water (for oatmilk!)
- 1 cup of warm water (for dough)
- 1 teaspoon coconut sugar
- 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 3 cups of flour
Instructions:
- Mix together sugar, ½ cup of warm water, and yeast
- Let mixture sit for 10 minutes
- Mix Upright instant oatmilk with water
- Add in oatmilk, remaining ½ cup of water, and salt to mixture
- Mix in flour with a wooden spoon
- Cover bowl with a clean dishcloth
- Let dough rise for 2 hours until it doubles in size
- Preheat oven to 425F
- Grease a 9 x 5 x ½ inch loaf pan with butter or oil
- Pour dough into pan
- Bake for 35 minutes or until top is golden
- Let bread rest for 10 minutes before taking it out to cool completely
